Shailene Woodley is an American actor, activist, and writer. She rose to fame with her portrayal in the role of Alexandra King - a teenage girl suffering from addiction - on The Descendants. After her stellar performance in The Descendants she went on to perform several other roles that showed her versatility. Shailene was able to earn a place of prominence within the film industry at a young age in her career which is a feat in and of itself. Following her start with commercials and TV shows, She then moved onto major roles in Hollywood film. Many awards have been won by her because of her impressive acting.
